Last week was Creativity and Wellbeing week and normally this is one of our busiest weeks at the charity, although this year was slightly different.
The theme of Creativity and Wellbeing week was ‘Positive Futures’ so we decided to commission two artists to create online workshops using different mediums to explore those themes.
The first workshop was ‘From Memory to Imagination’ with artist Frank Reed in this hour long drawing workshop explored our skills in memory and observation through a series of tasks to get you thinking about the space and objects that surround us every day.
The second workshops was ‘Destruction and construction’ with Ibrahim Azab. This workshop encouraged us to think about the therapeutic potential of working with photographs and using other mediums such as drawing, text, sculpture and performance in a way that inspires experiments.
Both of the workshops were are huge success and it was lovely to see some familiar faces, we have missed so much our community within the health centre. We were lucky to be able to connect again in such creative ways. Here are some images of the workshops and the great work that was created too!
