We’re excited that we’ve reached out fundraising target for our Movement for Mental Health project to be delivered in 2020. Our FSP team and a number of staff from the James Wigg GP practice took part in a spinathon (organised by Ride & Raise) and the Richmond Runfest 10K. We’ve now raised over £5000 to deliver the following for the project:
We’re offering 3 x 12 week courses utilising exercise and movement to improve wellbeing:
- Youth Combat: Under 25’s based combat class utilising a combination of martial arts and boxing movements.
- Release: Aimed at freeing the mind from stress and anxiety through stretch and tone movements.
- Ch-Aerobics: A seated based aerobics class targeted to all adults suffering with chronic pain and the elderly.
Thanks to everyone that took part in the activities and to those that donated to support this project! It’s not too late to donate!
