The Photography Movement launched in 2017 by best friends Scott Shillum and Steve Wallington after they had both lost close family and friends to suicide.
It is a not for profit organisation, fostering a community spirit where individuals of all ages can discuss mental wellbeing through the medium of photography.
Through a carefully curated programme of exhibitions, workshops and talks, The Photography Movement enables and encourages people to compose, capture and share images that tell the story of how they feel.
The workshop participants were all asked to bring in old family photos of previous generations and then explore what you would like to say to them or how you would describe them.
Using a number of collage and calligraphy techniques to then work with the images and add the text on top. Below are some of the great work that was created in the session.
